Coronavirus

We have been monitoring the current situation regarding Coronavirus very carefully over the last couple of weeks and have felt confident delivering our normal sessions, with the proviso that we all try to avoid physical contact (hand shaking, kissing, hugging etc), use hand sanitiser and avoid sharing songbooks. We’ve also avoided using our Bingo Balls in order to avoid further unecessary contact.

But this morning, for our participants’, our volunteers’ and our own health and safety, we have made the decision to suspend delivery of all Musical Memories singing sessions throughout Ryedale with immediate effect until 30th April.

There will be no session on Friday 13th March at the Milton Rooms in Malton.

We are very sad to have to do this – especially as things have been going so well – but believe it to be in the best interests of everybody.

We will review the situation again towards the end of April and inform people of our decision to resume sessions or continue the suspension.

In the time that we are not able to hold the sessions we are going to try to deliver a podcast for those folks who are online. We know this isn’t ideal and won’t replace the personal contact that we all really enjoy but hope it will help a little bit.

We will really miss you but we hope you can understand why we have come to this decision.

All best wishes

Neil & Ruth Hannah
